The Laclede Literacy Council is offering online tutoring free to its students who want to complete their high school equivalency tests.
Laclede Literacy Council Director Dr. Carol Barsby said this is allowing people to continue their education while dealing with the current requirements for social distancing.
Barsby said two types of programs are offered free of charge to students. The text-based program allows students to read, check out examples, do practice questions, play games and take mock tests. Also offered is a program with audio for oral learning including songs, examples and questions.
Both programs are interactive and individually driven. Students take part in the activities and then take tests to see if they learned the material.
