Linda Sue Moore, 71, of Lebanon, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020, in Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

She was born Jan. 2, 1949, in Lebanon, Mo. to Edward and Juanita Lindsay Weaver.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Peggy Butcher; a sister-in-law, Joann Weaver; a niece, Teresa Weaver; and the father of her children, Kenneth Moore on March 12, 2016.

She was born near Lebanon and for a time Linda lived with her family in California. Linda moved back to the Lebanon area with her family where she graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1967. After she and Kenneth were married, Linda was a devoted homemaker and loving mother. Linda worked for the Beneficial Finance Corporation office in Lebanon for several years and then was the secretary at the Lebanon Church of the Nazarene for a number of years. For the last ten years, she had been a receptionist at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. She was very involved in the Salvation Army in Lebanon where she worked and put in lots of volunteer hours.

Linda made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was longtime active member of Lebanon Church of the Nazarene which is now Freedom Nazarene. A few years ago, she moved her membership to the Ozark Hills Freewill Baptist Church. She had a great love for the Lord and a deep abiding faith which helped her through the years.

She is survived by a daughter, Shelli Hufft and her husband Chad of Lebanon; a son, Jody Moore of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Mason, Chase, and Hagar Hufft, and Sarah Moore; five brothers, Kenneth “Buddy’’ Weaver, Ronnie Weaver and his wife Katie, David Weaver and his wife Janelle, Gary Weaver, and Mike Weaver, all of Lebanon; a sister, Donna Coffman and her husband Dean of Lebanon; a brother-in-law, Dean Butcher of Lebanon; a number of nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Linda Sue Moore will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020, at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon with the Rev. Kevin West officiating. Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
