A solid season of soccer came to an end for the Lebanon High School girls’ soccer team last week with a 6-0 loss in the Class 3 District 9 quarterfinal round to the Union Wildcats.
“We knew coming in that Union was a very good team, and they proved it,” head coach Matt Jernigan said about the game. “They have done really well in the postseason and are having a great run.
“I thought our girls competed well. Our girls never quit. They showed their heart during the game, and I was very proud of them.”
The Wildcats are currently scheduled to play Webb City in the State quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon.
