LHS Class of 2020 buries time capsule at Nelson Park

Posted

The Lebanon High School Class of 2020 buried a time capsule in Nelson Park Sunday afternoon.

The capsule will be opened in 80 years on March 16, 2100. The time capsule includes books, essays, vintage newspapers, textbooks, school memorabilia, T-shirts and videos. Students said the intent was to give an idea of the current era to the people who open the capsule in 2100. The items were packaged in vacuum sealed bags with oxygen absorbers to help ensure preservation.
