Leonard R. Cook, son of Clyde and Eva Wade Cook, was born on the Cook family farm in Lynchburg, Missouri, on August 1, 1939, and departed this life on September 21, 2022, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-three years.
Leonard is survived by his son, Ronald Cook and his wife Glenda of Niangua, Missouri; his daughter, Marietta Kimrey and her husband Jerry of Lebanon, Missouri; a step-son, Darris Blue of Albany, Oregon and a step-daughter, Jennifer Perkins and her husband Kyle of Competition, Missouri; twin brother, Leland Cook of Bolivar, Missouri and brother James Cook and his wife Darlene of Lebanon, Missouri; his sister, Ruth Randolph and her husband James of Lebanon, Missouri; six grandchildren, Adam Kimrey (Jana), Ashley Pospisil (Nathan), Brandon Cook (Hillary), Josh Cook (Amanda), Jessica Decker (John) and Jennifer Ijames; step-grandchildren, Danielle Perkins, Ethan Perkins (Elizabeth), Paisley Blue, Dylan Blue and Hailey Blue; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jean and Gary Smith of Plato, Missouri and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Ken and Lena Rose and Ronnie Rose, all of Ozark, Missouri; special friend, Mary Ann Gravens of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews, other relatives, neighbors, church family and dear friends.
Those preceding him in death include his parents, his wife, Lodema Ruth Cook, who passed away August 1, 1999, his wife Phyllis Blue Cook, who passed away July 31, 2017 and by three brothers, Harold, Clois and Wayne Cook.
Funeral service for Leonard will be at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, September 24, 2022, with Terry Martin officiating, at Shadel's Colonial Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M., also on Saturday, prior to his service at 12:00 P.M. Burial will follow in the Lynchburg Cemetery.
