Leonard Akkerhuis, 67, of Mountain Grove, was born Dec. 12, 1958, in Grand Rapids, Mich. to Henry John and Johanna Gerry Akkerhuis and died Monday, June 15, 2026, in Mountain Grove.
He is survived by three sons, Daniel Akkerhuis of Springfield, Matthew Akkerhuis (Janet) of Mountain Grove, John Akkerhuis (Anzilee) of Mountain Grove, and seven grandchildren.
No funeral services will be held and his remains will be donated to science. Arrangements are under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home of Mountain Grove.
