Lebanon’s Downtown Business District Board on Tuesday heard how another city successfully revitalized its downtown.
Lee’s Summit City Manager Stephen Arbo made a presentation at City Hall as part of the board’s discussion of the beautification and revitalization of downtown Lebanon. Board members planned to use some of the ideas Arbo presented as a guide to revitalizing efforts for Lebanon’s downtown area.
Arbo emphasized the need for a plan to guide decision-making.
“With a long-term strategy, communities can make decisions that are meaningful and impactful to achieving their visions,” he said. “Without a strategy, you can make decisions that you think are the best today, but they may not be the best for a longterm vision.”
