Lee Dale Donigan, 95, of Lompoc, Calif., formerly of Lebanon, died Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, in Santa Maria, Calif.

He was born March 30, 1925, in Plainview, Neb. to William John Donigan and Mary Janet Holmes Donigan.

On Aug. 8, 1947, he married Eula Ellalene Lane.

He was preceded in death by his parents, W.J. and Janet Donigan; his wife Eula Ellalene Donigan; two sons, Michael and Mitchell Donigan, and one daughter, Michele Donigan; sisters, Evelyn (Donigan) Ivey, Ardeth (Donigan) Jones; brothers, Keith, Sterling, Dwain, Gary and Quentin Donigan.

Lee proudly served our country in the United States Navy during World War I from 1944 until June of 1946. He again served in the United States Navy from August of 1950 to December of 1971. He spent his career working as the superintendent for the Department of Justice, Bureau of Prisons.

He was baptized at the age of 11 in Dove, Mo. He was active in various churches over the years, serving as deacon, chairman of the building of a church education building, usher and member on several committees. At the time of his passing, he was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Lompoc, Calif.

Survivors include a daughter, Andrea Lynn Donigan of Oceano, Calif.

A graveside service and burial for Lee Dale Donigan will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at Hufft Cemetery near Eldridge, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. There is no scheduled visitation. Sign guest book at www.shadelscolonialchapel.com.
