Lebanon use tax vote discussed at town hall

Posted
The City of Lebanon’s April 8 use tax election was the subject of a town hall meeting Tuesday night at City Hall. According to the ballot language, the use tax would be the same as the local sales tax rate, which is currently 3% and if the sales tax is changed by voters, the use tax would be reduced or raised by the same amount. Mayor Jared Carr said funds from the tax would go toward a new animal shelter, expanded sidewalks and pedestrian trails, a police and fire training facility, upgrades to the Boswell Aquatic Center and other city needs.
