On Monday afternoon, the Lebanon High School boys’ soccer team completed a shutout of the Greenwood Blue Jays at Yellowjacket Field, 8-0.
Lebanon head coach Matt Jernigan went as far as to say it was his team’s best performance of the season.
“We have really been emphasizing winning the ball in the air and putting pressure on the other team,” he stated. “I thought we did that very well (on Monday).
“We get goals when we have very high pressure in the midfield, and that is what happened.”
