In one of the most electric atmospheres you could ask for in high school football, the Lebanon Yellowjackets stayed undefeated on the season, dismantling the Camdenton Lakers 33-14 on Friday night at ‘Jacket Stadium to retain the Highway 5 trophy.

The Lebanon defense played lights out in the win, allowing just 159 passing yards in the game, and let the Lakers score their touchdowns when their drive started from the Lebanon 33-yard line and in garbage time with LHS playing prevent defense.

Lebanon recorded three interceptions from Camdenton quarterback Bear Shore with Jax Glendenning, Max Groce, and Mason Farris getting the picks.

“I thought our defense played exceptional in the first half against a high-powered offense,” Lebanon head coach Will Christian said after the win. “It was huge being positive three in the turnover category. I thought our discipline was great, and overall it was a nice win over a great football team.”

Heading into halftime, the ‘Jackets (7-0 overall) trailed the Lakers (5-2 overall), 7-6. Lebanon got a 46-yard touchdown pass from Peyton Mitchell to Drew Truelove to go up early but allowed a touchdown in the second quarter on a pass from Shore to Javari Stewart.
