Lebanon Police investigating homicide

Lebanon Police are investigating a homicide that occurred Wednesday (Aug. 31) in the 1100 block of West Elm Street. According to a Police Department press release at approximately 11:52 a.m. Lebanon Police received a call of shots fired at a residence located in the 1100 block of W. Elm Street in Lebanon. Upon arrival it was learned that a 33-year-old male subject from Lebanon shot 45-year-old Bobby Langston during a verbal altercation within the residence. Langston later succumbed to his injuries at Mercy-Lebanon. The male subject was taken into custody at the residence and later transported to Laclede County Jail pending formal charges. "Lebanon Police Chief Bryan Arnold wants our citizens to know there is not any further danger to our community associated with this isolated incident," according to the press release.
