Lebanon picks up first win against Eldon

Posted
It came down to the wire, but the Lebanon boys’ basketball team picked up a much-needed victory over the Eldon Mustangs on Monday night at home for their first win of the season, 59-56. With the ‘Jackets winning by a score of 52-50 with under a minute remaining, freshman Caleb Ray drove to the basket but missed a tough shot inside the paint. Luckily for LHS, junior Tristan Wilson was there to clean up the miss to put the Yellowjackets up 54-50. The Mustangs quickly answered with a three-pointer of their own and then followed it up with a foul of Ray, and he converted both free throws to extend the lead to 56-53 with just under 30 seconds remaining.
