A Lebanon man faces two felony charges after being accused of performing sex acts on a child.

Travis Brian Moore, 31, has been charged with two counts of first-degree statutory sodomy of a victim less than the age of 12. Moore is being held in the Laclede County Jail with his bond set at $50,000 cash-or-surety, according to online court records.

On April 22, a mother reported to the Lebanon Police Department that her daughter, who is under the age of 12, had told her that Moore had allegedly performed sex acts on her. Moore had been watching the child while her mother was at work. During a forensic interview, the child allegedly repeated the allegations, according to a probable cause statement filed by the LPD.

On May 13, Moore reported to the Lebanon Police Department, where he was interviewed by a detective for about two hours. During the interview, Moore initially denied that anything had happened. Moore allegedly gave “multiple different accounts of what happened” that day. Moore later allegedly confessed that he might have accidentally had sex with the child, according to the court documents.
