Lebanon labeled COVID-19 'Yellow Zone'

Posted
A report from a White House coronavirus task force made public Wednesday found that Lebanon is a “Yellow Zone” and Missouri a “Red Zone” based on the number of COVID-19 cases and positivity rate. Lebanon was listed at number eight in the list of the top 12 communities in the Yellow Zone. According to the Laclede County Health Department, as of Friday morning, the county had seen 172 cases to date with 14 currently being monitored, 157 considered recovered and one death. Areas in the Yellow Zone are core -based statistical areas (CBSAs) and counties that during the last week reported both new cases between 10-100 per 100,000 population, and a diagnostic test positivity result between 5-10 percent, or one of those two conditions and one condition qualifying as being in the Red Zone. Top 12 locations were selected based on the highest number of new cases in the past three weeks. For more on this story see Saturday's LCR.
