This is a rematch that many on the Lebanon football team have been hoping for. Now, their hopes become a reality as the Lebanon Yellowjackets will travel to Webb City to take on the Cardinals on Friday night in the Class 5 state quarterfinals.
In 2020, the Cardinals beat the Yellowjackets 42-14 before losing in the Class 5 semifinals to Platte County.
Despite what appeared to be a lopsided score, it was one of the more competitive efforts from the ‘Jackets in the state playoffs since the new playoff format began in 2012.
