Lebanon defeats state-ranked Jefferson City on Tuesday

The Jefferson City Jays entered Tuesday’s contest against the Lebanon Yellowjackets ranked No. 10 in the Missouri Class 6 rankings. The Yellowjackets cared not for the rankings, defeating the Jays 4-3 at Oley Scott Field. Lebanon entered the final inning up by one run with junior Zack Stewart dealing on the mound. The leadoff man for Jefferson City got on after being struck by a pitch, but Stewart minimized the damage the best he could by striking out the next batter. Leadoff hitter Conner Earlywine drew a full-count walk to end Stewart’s day. For more on this story see Saturday's LCR.
