The Lebanon city pool will be opening June 3 with hours of operation from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30p.m.
The pool was built in 1979 in order to meet the demand of competitive swimming. John Shelton, the Lebanon park director, said, “Competitive swimming was really big then so this pool is designed for that old fashioned swimming. It is built in yards, they used to swim 50 yards at a time and now they swim 25 yards.”
The pool is starting its 44th season this year, the water is in and treated, and almost ready for summer fun.
