The Lebanon boys varsity tennis team won the championship match of the Lebanon/Camdenton Invitational Tournament on Friday, head coach Ron Crowell reported. He had reported the team’s victory in the Lebanon Tournament on April 9, which had led to the Yellowjackets playing the Rolla Bulldogs, the champions of the Camdenton Tournament. Lebanon won 7-2 after Crowell said the team handled a five hour rain delay well. Crowell said the team played very well against Rolla’s excellent team. He highlighted Conor McGruder Josh Rogers in doubles and singles, Denver Woodruff’s singles performance, and Teigan Vance and Joseph Schuneman did well in doubles and singles too. “Our goal was to have 2 great days and they did,” Crowell wrote. In the Lebanon Tournament on April 9, Crowell reported the following wins: Lebanon won against Osage 8-1, won against Waynesville 9-0, and won against Willow Springs 9-0. Crowell had been very proud of the team of the team that day. The Lebanon varsity boys also won the invitational last year. That match had also set Lebanon against Rolla. Before the tournaments, Crowell had reported an April 7 win against Hillcrest (9-0), which he described as a rebound after losses to Central and Joplin.
