Lebanon beats Capital City on the road

JEFFERSON CITY — Things started a little shaky for the Lebanon High School baseball team against an up and coming Capital City team on Monday afternoon, but when their backs were up against the wall, the Yellowjackets pulled away for a 12-6 win on the road to win their sixth straight game.

After the Cavaliers trailed 2-0, the young group put together two runs in the second inning and two runs in the third inning to take a 4-2 lead.

Lebanon could’ve backed down from the challenge but instead responded with three runs in the fourth inning and a five-run fifth inning that included a monster home run from senior John Greenwood (6th of the year) to take command, 9-4.
