It was a historic night at Yellowjacket Soccer Field on Thursday night when Lebanon played host to their rival, the Camdenton Lakers. In what was a total back-and-forth contest between two talented teams, the Yellowjackets came out victorious in a 1-0 shutout victory.
With 16:42 left in the match, senior Zach Richards received a quick throw-in from junior teammate Quinton Doughty. Richards dribbled around one defender and found himself with a 1-on-1 chance with the Camdenton goalkeeper as he wrapped it around his outstretched arms and buried it in the back of the net.
With the goal, Richards achieved a coveted accolade in his career, scoring his 100th goal for the black and gold.
