A death in the 25000 block of Missouri Highway YY is being investigated as a homicide, according to Laclede County Sheriff David Millsap.
The victim was identified as Mark Pitts, age 58, of Lebanon.
Millsap said an autopsy was completed last Thursday afternoon.
“Evidence from the scene has been collected and will be sent to the Missouri Highway Patrol’s Crime Laboratory. Pending those test results, we will continue to follow up on leads, and conduct interviews. The cause of death was trauma to the head,” Millsap said.
