LCR wins second Gold Cup honors

Posted
The Laclede County Record won the Gold Cup Award at the recent Missouri Press Association annual convention at the Lodge of the Four Seasons at Lake of the Ozarks. The Gold Cup is top honors for a Missouri newspaper in their circulation category as part of the press association’s annual Better Newspaper Contest. The Record won their first Gold Cup in 2019. It was the first time the publication won the coveted award in the history of the newspaper. Gold Cups are awarded to the newspaper that wins the most points in their circulation class. Points are awarded based on the newspaper’s overall general excellence, community service, and investigative reporting as well as a number of other types of news stories.
