Laura Mae Farmer, 66, of Buffalo, died Sunday, March 31, 2021.
She was born Aug. 27, 1954, in California to Bud and Dorthey Clary.
Laura married Lavern Farmer. She worked as a Director of Activities for many years until she retired to spend more quality time with her husband and family.
Laura was most proud of her work with the Toys for Tots organization. She started the Dallas County Toy Run in November of 1999 and continued running the event successfully for 22 years.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Dorthey Clary; her husband Lavern Farmer; her daughter Michelle Hicks; and many other loved ones. Laura is survived by her children; Michael and Kelley Hicks, Jason and Tony Farmer, Brandie French and Demetrius Mostaffa, Melissa and Bradley Craigmyle; 25 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
No funeral services will be held. The family suggests making a donation to Toys for Tots in her honor.
Cremation rites are being accorded by the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
