1SG (Ret) Larry Marvin Fortner, 74, of Yantis, Texas, formerly of St. Robert, Mo., passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025, in the Hospice of East Texas in Tyler, Texas.
He is survived by four children: Shane Fortner of Kenner, La., Thad Fortner of Kansas City, Mo., Eric Fortner (Kristal) of Nashville, Tenn., and Jerod Fortner (Sybil) of Ava, Mo.; thirteen grandchildren: Tristan, Kaylee (Brock), Cassi, Seth, Hannah, Theo, Jack, Cade, Lila, Abby, Kendall, Owen, and Max; three great grandchildren: Zachariah, Kash, and Saylor; one brother: Roger Fortner of Biloxi, Miss.; several other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025, in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Burial with military honors will follow in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery of Waynesville, Mo.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025, in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
