Lady ‘Jackets seize first season win against Webb City Cardinals

The Lady Yellowjackets won their first basketball game of the season against the Webb City Cardinals 69-48. Monday was the first match of the season for both teams, with the ‘Jackets heading to the Cardinals’ home turf. The Cardinals took possession of the ball first, but the ‘Jackets quickly took the lead with senior Madison Myers scoring the first points of the game. That did not deter the Cardinals from closing to a competitive distance. The first period ended with an unsuccessful push from the Cardinals and kept the score 17-11.
