Lady ‘Jackets defeat Lady Tigers on Thursday

Posted

In a game that meant so much for conference finishing and district seeding, the Lebanon High School girls’ basketball team was victorious over the Waynesville Tigers on Thursday night at Boswell Auditorium, 53-18.
The program finished with a three-game sweep as the JV team won 54-44 and the JVB team won 30-13.
“I am proud of all of our teams,” head coach Jacky Payne said. “This was a big win for us as far as district seeding goes because now it looks like Waynesville will end up the No. 4 seed, and nobody wants to face them in the opening round.”
Lebanon had dropped four games in a row heading into Thursday’s matchup, including three straight games against state-ranked opponents.
