The Lady ‘Jacket tennis team backhanded and forehanded its way to second place in the Ozark Conference Tournament held Sept. 26 and followed it with a nearly perfect win over Hillcrest the day after.
In the tournament, the ‘Jackets beat last year’s champ before a loss in the final round.
In the first round, the Waynesville Tigers fell handily to the ‘Jackets ,who won 5-0. The best match for Waynesville was an 8-4 Lebanon win.
In the semi-finals, the ladies slipped past Glendale with a 5-4 victory.
