Laclede County Central Dispatch responds to criticism of call handling

Laclede County Central Dispatch has responded to criticism following the handling of a non-emergency call intended for the Sheriff’s Office taken on Sunday. Lexi Welch posted Monday morning that she had called the Sheriff’s Office’s non-emergency number around 11:30 the previous night after two teenagers – the Record later found that one of them was 20 years old and will refer to them as victims from now on – came to her back porch after flipping their truck in a river.
