Kent Leon Jones, age 89, of Lebanon, Missouri, entered into glory on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. He was born on January 28, 1935, to Raymond Walter and Ethel Nadine (Archer) Jones in Stoutland, Missouri.
On September 15, 1956, he was united in marriage to Ona Rea Angst in Lebanon, Missouri. From this union, they welcomed a son, Brad into the world. Kent was a dedicated employee for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company for over 60 years as a foreman. He also worked for a number of years for the Department of Natural Resources. Kent was a member of the First Christian Church and found comfort in the scripture and fellowship of the church. In his free time, he enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia and sitting in his glider with “Kitty Cat.”
Kent joined his parents, brothers Terry and Bobby Don, and sister Virginia in heaven.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ona Jones, of the home; and his son, Brad Jones; numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.
A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
