Kathryn Louise Cooper, 60, of Kansas City, died May 29, 2020, in Truman Medical Center in Kansas City.
She was born Sept. 27, 1959, in Lebanon, Mo. to William Joseph and Emma June Reid Hill.
Kathryn was preceded in death by a son, Clayton Cooper, and a brother, Larry Hill.
She was raised in Independence and graduated from William Chrisman High School in the Class of 1976. For the next several years, Kathryn was a devoted homemaker and mother and also worked at various jobs. She then worked as a secretary for the Independence School District for many years before retiring.
Kathryn had followed the Baptist faith throughout her life.
She is survived by a daughter, Tammy Purcell of Independence; a son, Matthew Cooper of Higginsville; four grandchildren; her parents, William and Emma Hill of Lebanon; a brother, Charles Hill of Lebanon; two sisters, Sherri Mills and her husband Bobby and Teresa Paterno, all of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
All arrangements for Kathryn Louise Cooper are private under the direction of the family.
