Judith Kay Ruble, 78, of Lebanon, died Saturday, July 4, 2020, in Lebanon.
She was born Nov. 27, 1943, in Laclede County, Mo. to Vern and Alta Lathrop Davis.
On Aug. 24, 1961, she married Nathan Lee Ruble.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Billy Don and Charles Ronald Davis and by a sister, Betty Franklin.
“Judy’’ as she was fondly know to her family and friends, graduated from Lebanon High School in the class of 1961. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Southwest Missouri State, and a Master’s Degree from the University of Missouri in St. Louis. She taught elementary school in Seymour, St. Louis, and lastly Gasconade C-4 near Lebanon. She was also a very hardworking and dedicated pastor’s wife throughout the years.
She was a faithful and active member of Green Hills Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include husband Nathan; one son, William Ruble and his wife Brandy of Lebanon; one daughter, Deborah Clark of Springfield; two sisters, Bess Norman of Baxter Springs, Kan. and Verna Trigg from the state of California; five granddaughters, Amy, Heather, Cloe, Ally and Trancy; three great grandchildren, Seth, Tajuan and Elena; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Edward and Betty Ruble of Lebanon; Marcella Ruble of Neosho, Jolene and John Pruitt of Richland, and Opal Plummer of Lebanon; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services for Judith Kay Ruble will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Gary Fry officiating. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. Under the guidelines of the CDC and the state of Missouri, the staff of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel ask that you observe social distancing and proper hygiene. Those guidelines will be monitored during this time to accommodate the family and their wishes.
