Joyce Mae (Vernon) Scott, 82, of Springfield, formerly of Lebanon, died Monday, July 25, 2022.
She was born Sept. 13, 1939, in Phillipsburg, Mo. to Guy and Eula (Kissee) Vernon.
On March 20, 1959, she married John Michael (Mike) Scott.
She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brothers, Gordon, John and Jack Vernon.
She is survived by her husband Mike; two daughters, Janet Lea of Springfield and Jo Lynne (Jodie) Chenoweth and husband Kelly of Joplin; four grandchildren, Lindsey Sjorlund and husband Malachi, Sam Chenoweth and wife Bailey, Vanessa Lumby and husband Jacob, Scott Lea and wife Kathryn; five great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Joyce Mae (Vernon) Scott were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home in Springfield. Burial was Hazelwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please honor Joyce with a donation to Glendale Christian Church in Springfield.
