JOYCE EVELYN KERNS

Joyce Evelyn Kerns, 78, of Falcon, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022, in her home.

She was born Oct. 9, 1943, in New Brunswick, N.J. to Albert E. and Dorothy Crawford Davison.

On June 11, 1960, she was united in marriage to Samuel D. Kerns, and to this union three daughters and five sons were born.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Samuel on Nov. 13, 1965; a son, Michael Kerns; and two grandsons, Harlen Ruppert and Bryan Kerns.

Joyce lived her early years in New Jersey and Virginia and then moved to Missouri with husband and family in the late 1980s. She had worked as a waitress in New Jersey along with being a devoted homemaker, and then continued as a homemaker after having moved to Missouri. She enjoyed collecting bears and liked bowling. She had a fondness for horses and greatly enjoyed horseback riding.

She was a longtime member off the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints wherever she lived.

Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Kerns, Joyce Kerns, and Debbie Kerns, and her significant other, Hayden Davis, all of Falcon; four sons, Robert Kerns, of Falcon; Nick Kerns, and his significant other, Karen Morris, of Jackson, N.J.; Samuel D. Kerns, Jr., and his wife, Amanda, and Johnny Kerns, all of Lebanon; a special granddaughter, Wendy Beesley, of Falcon; two special grandsons, Samuel R. Kerns, and Richard Kerns, both of Lebanon; five additional grandchildren, Keith, Raven, Lincoln, Alexis, and Nicholas; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
