Joyce Ann Gibson Merkle, 80, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, in Osage Beach.
She was born Dec. 21, 1940, in Elvins, Mo. to Jewell Jefferson Gibson and Elsie Mae Montgomery Gibson.
Joyce was preceded in death by an infant son, Gary Lynn Layton; her parents and her siblings, Lanny, Alvin, David, Anna and Ruby.
She is survived by her son, Dean and Sheri Layton of Ste. Genevieve; her daughter, Jeanna and Darrin Peltzer of Lebanon; her grandchildren, Robert (Bobby) and Angela Layton of Granite City, Ill.; Rebecca Layton, Alex and Katelyn Layton of Nixa; Lindsey Peltzer of Harrison, Ark.; Kendra Peltzer of Lebanon, and her great-grandchildren, Evan Voyles, Braden Ashcraft and Brodee Hale.
