Joseph “Joe’’ Majerak, 70, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025, in Lebanon, Missouri.
He was born June 23, 1954, in Washington Heights, New York to Joseph F. Majerak, Jr. and Henrietta (Priess) Majerak.
On April 23, 1988, he was united in marriage to Terry Sisson.
Those preceding him in death include his parents; one sister, Gertie Gorecki; and three brothers-in-law, Mike Sisson, Ed Sisson and Bob Dotson.
Joe graduated from Lebanon High School with the class of 1974. After graduating, he began working. He worked in a variety of places over the years, Tom’s, S.P. Gas, Lebanon Rural Fire, where he was also the Fire Chief for a period of time, Laclede County Sheriff’s office, and eventually for Animal Control, where he began in 1986 and remained until his retirement in 2015. He also loved his fur-babies, his cat, Gizzie and his dog, Buttercup. However, time spent with his family is what he treasured most.
Joe is survived by his wife Terry; one daughter, Julie Yearous and her husband Nick; two grandchildren, Hadley and Grayson Yearous; sister-in-law, Judy Dotson; niece, Rosalie Pearson and her husband Joe; great-nephew, Evan Pearson; nephew, Andy Dotson and his wife Krysten; great-niece, Andelynn Dotson; great-nephew, Gideon Dotson; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Joseph “Joe’’ Majerak will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Pastor Bruce Doublin officiating. Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening, May 21, 2025, beginning at 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., also at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
