JOSEPH “DWIGHT’’ DUDLEY

Joseph “Dwight’’ Dudley, 75, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022, in Springfield.

He was born May 11, 1947, to Joseph E. and Mary L. West Dudley.

On Aug. 16, 1969, he married Helen Lorene Hawkins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Helen on Oct. 10, 2017; stepdaughter, Michelle Webb; and two step-granddaughters, Tabitha and Tiffany Webb.

After graduating from Camdenton High School, Dwight also attended and graduated from Linn Tech. He entered the United States Army and proudly served our country during the Vietnam War. He served in the Missouri National Guard for 22 years and worked as military contractor for MO-AVCRAD for 20 years. Dwight was very intelligent and used his knowledge and military expertise as part of the wiring design team for the Blackhawk and Cobra helicopters.

He is survived by one son, Joshua Paul Dudley of Springfield; stepson, Joseph Duane Webb of Lebanon; stepdaughter, Tammy Webb of Lebanon; two step-granddaughters, Ashley Dillinger and Nichelle Mitchell; one step-grandson; one sister, Sandra; one step-sister, Kim; other relatives and many friends.

A graveside service and burial for Joseph “Dwight’’ Dudley will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, at Mount Rose Memorial Park with military honors by the United States Army, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
