Joni Peele-White, 72, of Falcon, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2021, in Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

She was born March 24, 1949, in Portsmouth, Va. to Luther T. and Jane Morgan Peele.

On Sept. 13, 1991, she married Robert “Bob’’ A. White.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a half-brother, Robert Peele.

Joni was raised in Maryland and graduated from Springbook High School. She made her home in Rockville and Burtonsville, Md. during her younger years. She then lived in Colorado for a time where she was a devoted homemaker and loving mother to her family. In 1992, the family moved to Missouri and they made their home in the Mountain Grove area for several years before moving to Falcon, Mo. In addition to being a homemaker, Joni also owned and operated a kennel for a time.

She was an active member of the Lebanon Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors include her husband Bob of the home; a daughter, Heather Hahn and her husband Michael of Lebanon; two sons, James Hiller and Ki White, both of Falcon; a granddaughter, Jessica Loveland; two great-grandsons, Caden and Eli; a sister, Patricia Woolfrey of Apollo Beach, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Services for Joni Peele-White will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Lebanon with Bishop Mike DeWitt officiating. Burial will be in McBride Cemetery near Falcon, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. A visitation will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. A memorial to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
