John William Tramel, 67, of Phillipsburg, died Feb. 25, 2021.
He was born Feb. 24, 1954, in Pontiac, Ill. to Harold (Bill) and Wanda Tramel.
John was preceded in death by his parents, an aunt, an uncle and two nephews.
He recently retired from Emerson Climate Technologies as a night shift material handler for over 20-plus years, but did various jobs in his lifetime from a dairy worker, grill cook, to a carnival worker.
Survivors include his girlfriend of 13 years, Barbara Haney; children, Danny Tramel of Clinton, Iowa; Ross Milne of Cottonwood, Minn.; Miranda Mason and husband Karl Mason of Lebanon, and Teagun Shilts and her husband Sam Shilts of Richland, and four stepchildren, Trish Foulks and Mike Foulks, Andrea Haney, Clifford Asbell, and Tabathia Widel and husband Brandon; 25 grandchildren, and one great-grandson; a sister, Sandy Datema and husband Kenny Datema of Republic; brother, George Tramel and wife Roxy Tramel of Eldridge; two nieces, two nephews, two uncles and two aunts; and lots of close friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2021, on the farm in Eldridge. Please contact the family for the address. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, Springfield.
