John Oliver Vandergriff, 79, of Richland, died Wednesday, April 15, 2020, in his home.
He was a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife Susan of the home; five children, Debbie Penn (Matt) of Tucson, Ariz.; Nita Brooks (Rick) of Kansas City; John Colt Vandergriff (Donna) of Clinton; Jimmy Vandergriff (Melissa) of Granbury, Texas and Remington Vandergriff (Olga) of Clarksville, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, James H. Vandergriff (Donna) of Tucson, Ariz. and Jerry D. Vandergriff of Anchorage, Alaska; one sister, Beverly Burd (Bill) of Richland; a sister-in-law, Anne Myers of Richland; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Due to the restrictions of public gatherings mandated by the Governor of Missouri in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and for the safety of our families and staff, Celebration of Life services with military honors for John Oliver Vandergriff will be held at a later date, under the direction of Memorial Chapel of Richland.
