Joel E. Barber damaged in storm

Posted
Joel E. Barber School staff members escaped unharmed Monday when a storm hit the school building causing extensive damage. About eight staff members were in the building but were able to make it to a storm shelter and were not injured, according to School Superintendent Rachelle Jennings. Jennings said school officials said the district was fortunate that no students were in the building because of the COVID-19 school closure. “We can thankful for the coronavirus because than means all of our students were home,” Jennings said.
