JOAN CRYER

Joan Cryer, 71, of Falcon, died Saturday morning, Dec. 19, 2020, at Mercy Hospital Lebanon.

She was born April 11, 1949, in Westville, Ill., to Elie and Maude Walden Ramsey.

On April 10, 1976, she was united in marriage to Billy L. Cryer, and to this union one daughter and one son were born.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Carl Ramsey; and three sisters, Carol Gold, Shirley Ramsey, and Pearl Thompson.

Joan was born and raised in Illinois, and then moved with her family to Humansville, Missouri and Nixa, Missouri. After she and Billy were married, they made their home in Little Rock, Arkansas and Omaha, Nebraska for several years. They then moved to the Falcon, Missouri area where they made their home for the last fifteen years. Joan was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family and also worked at Webco Manor in Marshfield, Missouri, and later, at Copeland Industries, which is now Emerson Electric, in Lebanon.

She was a member of the Family of Faith Church.

Joan is survived by her loving husband of forty-four years, Billy, of the home; a daughter, Laurie Scott, and her husband, Bob, of Bolivar; a son, Mike Cryer, and his wife, Susan, of Falcon; seven grandchildren, Virginia, Scott, Sydney, Enan, Adyson, Zach, and Brittany; four great-grandchildren, Gavin, Mark, Oliva, and David; a brother, Bill Ramsey, of Springfield; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Services for Joan Cryer are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020, at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon with Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Visitation is schedule for 1 p.m. until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
