Jewel Maple Bradshaw, 97, of Buffalo, died Friday, July 23, 2021, at Buffalo Prairie Care Center.

She was born Sept. 5, 1923, in Dallas County, Mo. to Charlie and Dona Looney.

Jewell married Audie Bradshaw. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Audie Bradshaw; infant son Larry Gene Bradshaw; daughter-in-law Carla Bradshaw; and her nine siblings.

She attended school in Louisburg. She had been a member of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church for 80 years. Jewel and her husband owned grocery stores in Fair Play and Urbana. There last business was a cafe in Preston. She also worked part-time at Mr. Ed’s.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandra King of Rolla; son, Timmy Bradshaw of Urbana; five grandchildren, Tracy James and husband Doug of Rolla; Derik King and wife Jackie of Ladue; Kevin King of St. Louis; Jeremy Bradshaw and wife Juli of Clever; Meleshia Colfer of Springfield; eight great-grandchildren, Kayla Capps and husband Clint of Rolla; Kelsi James of San Antonio, Texas; Kathryne King, Sarah King and Sam King, all of Ladue; Tanner Bradshaw of Clever; Isabelle Colfer and Elianna Colfer of Springfield; two great-great-grandsons, Carter Capps and Corbin Capps of Rolla; several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Funeral services for Jewel Maple Bradshaw will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
