Jerry Clyde Bledsoe, 75, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, March 10, 2020, in Lebanon.

He was born Sunday, Feb. 11, 1945, in Lebanon, Mo. to Haskel Clyde “Hack’’ and Beulah Gladys Kinkade Bledsoe.

On Thursday, March 19, 1964, he married Norma Barker and they had been married nearly 56 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Haskel and Beulah Bledsoe; two sisters, Judy Bledsoe and Joyce Donald; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth Barker, Gene Vaughn, Lavell Barker, Bill Myers, and Helen Sien.

Jerry has been involved in the used car business in the Lebanon area all of his life. He claimed Bell Restaurant, drinking coffee with his buddies, customers and business associates was his office. He enjoyed coon hunting, tinkering with cars, hunting, fishing, attending local car races and being a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and grandpa to his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Norma; one son, James Donald “Jimmy” Bledsoe of Lebanon; two daughters, Jennifer Hite and her husband Steve and Janet King and her husband Noel, both of Lebanon; one brother, James Bledsoe and his wife Nola of Lebanon; one sister, Joan Myers of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Ashley Assadpour and her husband Vahid, Nathan King and his wife Autumn, Nicholas King and his wife Cindy, Karley Bledsoe, Haley Bishop and her husband Clint, and Garrett Hite;  three great grandchildren, Hadley Grace, Kynlee Jean and Hayes Ryan;  brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale and Brandy Barker, Lester “Fuzz” and Becky Barker, Paul “Runt” and Betty Barker, Don and Nadine Barker, Carl “Monk” and Kim Barker, Keith and Teresa Barker, Wilma Vaughn, Nina Dampier, Janice Marshall, Wilma Barker, Chris and Frank Baranowski, all of Lebanon;  several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends

Funeral services for Jerry Clyde Bledsoe will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2020, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Pastor Tim Howe and Pastor Jason Redrick officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday also at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jerry’s memory for a memorial that will be established by his family, and can be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O.
