JEB honors staff as front line workers

Posted
Joel E. Barber School Board members hung white ribbons throughout the school Sunday to surprise and honor the school’s teachers as frontline workers during the pandemic. Board member Melissa McCormick spearheaded the campaign, making ribbons to be hung on classroom doors, as well as on the school’s flagpole. The white ribbon campaign originally started in the medical field and has since expanded. “A white ribbon campaign is underway in our community to thank and support health care workers, first responders, teachers and others on the front lines of the pandemic. The JEB board and administration want to thank you for your service during this uncertain time,” a green tag on each ribbon says. For more on this story see Wednesday's LCR.
