Janet Eliza Marcum Henderson, 64, of Lebanon died Friday, June 30, 2023, at her home. She was born Aug. 2, 1958, in Lebanon to Dwain Edward Marcum and Betty Louise Sloop Marcum.

Janet was born and raised in the Lebanon area. After graduating from Lebanon High School in the class of 1976, she would marry the love of her life, Floyd Henderson. Janet and Floyd built a life together as she followed him across the world during his military career. The two shared 47 years of marriage and two wonderful children, Amanda and Joseph.

Janet made a profession of faith at an early age and was a strong Christian. Even in her final years as she battled illness, she not only stayed strong in her faith but encouraged and strengthened the faith of those around her.

Janet was never one to sit still. She enjoyed staying busy with volunteer work at thrift stores, her children’s school, or baking cookies and decorating cakes for anyone who simply needed their day brightened. She constantly put the needs of others before her own.

Janet also enjoyed staying busy with her mind. She enjoyed puzzles, word searches, and embroidery. She also enjoyed working her flower garden, bird watching, and spending time with her Shelties. Janet loved attending Branson shows, and even made friends with several performers. Her favorite activity of all was to follow her family around, especially her granddaughter, Sarah.

Janet is survived by her loving husband, Floyd Henderson of Lebanon; one son, Joseph Henderson and his wife, Analou of Katy, Texas; one daughter, Amanda Henderson of Lebanon; one granddaughter; Sarah Henderson; and a number of friends and family.

Janet was a truly special woman who shared the love of God with all those who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of care and compassion that continues to inspire.
