James Mitchell Suica of Marshfield, Missouri passed away peacefully at home, at the age of eighty-two, with his wife, step-son and daughter-in-law by his side, on December 30, 2024.
James (Jim) was born April 7, 1942, in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania to Michael and Nora (Buxton) Suica. He was married to Jayne Bable on June 14, 1963, and they immediately left to begin their life in the state of California. James went to work for North American Aviation, then later for the Coke-A-Cola Company as an assistant branch manager in San Francisco. During their time in California, James and Jayne had two daughters. In 1977, they decided to leave the hustle and bustle of California for a more rural setting in which to raise their family. They settled near Lebanon, Missouri.
Jim was a very accomplished person who always had a thirst for learning and would take on practically any challenge. When they first came to the Lebanon area, Jim worked at the old Wyota Restaurant as a fry cook, which he always said was his favorite job. He eventually went to work at Detriot Tool, where he worked until retirement.
After retirement, he worked at Walmart and was a substitute teacher for the Lebanon School District. He also volunteered at the local hospital. Jim always loved learning and went to night school for years.
After the passing of his beloved first wife, Jayne in 2004, he was united in marriage to Waynita Hill on February 4, 2006. They resided near Lebanon until 2018, when they moved to Marshfield, Missouri.
Jim was a knowledgeable and wise man. He loved his family and was fun to be around.
He is survived by his wife, Waynita of the home; two daughters, Jodi Wynn and her husband Steve and Traci McCush and her husband Fred, all of the St. Louis area; his step-son Mark and his wife Amber of Stoutland, MO; step-daughter, Terra Fiveash of Camdenton, MO; four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and two step great-grandbabies.
He was very proud of his family and will be terribly missed.
There is no service planned at this time for James.
There will be a burial at a later date at Lebanon Cemetery.
At his request, his body is to be cremated.
Arrangements are under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
