James David Draper, born in Lebanon March 6, 1943 to John and Hazel Draper, died November 8, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. Jim graduated from LHS in '61 and MU in '65 with a degree in Art History. He went on to get his masters and PhD from New York University School of Fine Arts. Jim worked his whole career at the Metropolitan Museum in New York as Full Curator of European Sculpture and Decorative Arts, thus fulfilling his boyhood dream. His was admired and loved by hundreds of colleagues and friends all over the world. JIm is survived by his sisters Betsy (Draper) Erb and Ruth (Draper) Rebmann.
