JAMES (CALVIN) MITCHELL

James (Calvin) Mitchell, son of Fred and Emilie Mitchell was born in Mitchell, Ark. and departed this life Dec. 1, 2022, in Buffalo at the age of 90 years.

Calvin spent his early childhood in Arkansas and his later childhood in Kansas City. In 1951 he left Kansas City and joined the US Army for 4 years. During his service he met Christa and to this marriage was born his only child, Doris.

In 1955 Calvin returned to Kansas City where he began work at Hansen Dental Lab and became the head of the Porcelain Department.

Calvin later remarried to Jean and they relocated from Kansas City to the Lake of the Ozarks where he established his own dental Lab, Mitchell Dental Ceramics. They later moved to Camdenton, and upon retirement to Lebanon.

Calvin is survived by his daughter Doris, (Don), of St. Louis; two grandchildren, Allison and Brian and two great-grandchildren, Atticus and Luna Rose all of St. Louis, cousins and many good friends.

There is no service planned at this time. Calvin was cremated under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. Special thanks to Guylene Franklin and Craig and Elena MacQueen, wonderful friends of Calvin and his daughter Doris, who helped so much during his illness.
