JACQUELINE “JACKIE’’ DAY

Jacqueline “Jackie’’ Day, 66, of Springfield, formerly of Lebanon, died Wednesday, July 8, 2020, in Springfield.

She was born Jan. 10, 1954, in Lebanon, Mo. to Ralph E. Davis Sr. and Betty Kenfield Davis Turnage.

On Oct. 9, 1987, she married Arthur Winston Day.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Sherry E. Chastain Jones.

Jackie was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

She graduated from Lebanon High School with the class of 1972. She attended courses for accounting and obtained her associate’s degree while in New Mexico. While living in Kansas, Jackie attended classes where she learned to transcribe medical records. After marriage in 1987 to Art, she moved from Arkansas to Kansas and eventually to Missouri with her husband’s career

Survivors include her husband Arthur “Art” Day;  her son, Ryan Day of Kansas City; one brother, Ralph E. Davis, Jr. and his wife Fran of Seymour; her stepmother, Sharon Davis of Lebanon; her stepfather, Jim Turnage of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; other relatives and many friends.

A graveside service and burial for Jacqueline “Jackie’’ Day will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2020, at Mount Rose Memorial Park Cemetery with Mike Morris officiating, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Visitation will begin at noon Monday until departure for the cemetery at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. To sign guestbook online please visit shadelscolonialchapel.com.
